Working for the Response Team

At Response it is important that we are practical, open professionals and we demonstrate we are doing the job well. This means we have to be rigorous about the kind of training and induction we do. We stand for quality and professionalism and want people to have faith in the services we deliver and continue to be an Investor in People employer.

We feel that our approach is best embodied in our ‘Passport to Work Scheme’. Without it, we are at risk of our services slipping, not meeting important standards and legislation and risking safeguarding vulnerable adults. You earn it by meeting all mandatory training requirements, which in turn deliver key standards of service user care, quality of work, health and safety and environmental awareness. Everyone working for Response is supported to continually develop both personally and professionally. That is why we work closely with our training partners, local colleges and universities to offer desirable training opportunities and qualifications that not only meet our service requirements, but individual expectations also.

Passport to Work’ is our visible commitment to:
• The quality of the work we do
• Good relationships with all service users and partners
• Training and developing our staff
• Providing a visibly professional service

Training Opportunities with Response

• Do you find it difficult to ensure that all your staff are up to date with the latest skills and knowledge?

• Are you looking for cost-effective ways to invest in staff development?

• Would you like training that is designed specifically around your organisational policies and procedures?

• Training at a time and venue to suit you?

Response can answer these questions for you!

As an Investor in People organisation we pride ourselves in offering all staff opportunities for both personal and professional development. Developing and encouraging excellence as standard amongst the social care workforce is our aim.

We offer the full range of industry standard (mandatory) courses, for example first aid, first safety, general health and safety and moving and handling. If you only have one staff member requiring training, booking onto one of our courses could be more cost effective for you.
Using the expertise and knowledge of our management team we have developed our own specialist training in areas specifically relating to our practice. Tailor-made courses have enabled reflection and sharing of best practice.

We specialise in Mental Health Awareness training and work closely with professional service user trainers to deliver tailor made courses to meet the needs of your service. We are happy to travel and deliver training at your premises if you prefer.

We have the skills to deliver training in areas such as Professional Boundaries, Support / Care Planning, Managing Challenging Behaviour and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, all of which can be tailor-made around your own organisational policies and procedures.
