I'm Jo, a passionate individual with a genuine empathy for others. I have grown up and worked in Oxford my entire life. I live with my husband, son and one excitable dog and I love photography.

I have lived experience of Neurodivergence and was diagnosed with ADHD in 2023 and signposted for further assessment for Autism and PTSD. My son has a dual diagnosis for part ADHD and Autism. I hope I can use our lived experiences to improve support provision for others and have an understanding on how neurodivergence can impact on mental health.

I have worked in Social Housing for twenty years, specialising in anti-social behaviour injunctions, domestic abuse cases and complex tenancy and support matters.

I currently work as Head of Operations for a registered provider of sheltered housing in Oxford. I have lots of experience working with residents across all tenures. I have experience working with individuals with ill mental health, substance misuse issues and have managed complex safeguarding cases. I have seen first-hand the impact that mental health can have on individuals, families and those working in frontline services.

Aside from my main role, I currently work as a Peer Support Specialist for a Neurodivergent support service in Oxfordshire. My role is to support people through the assessment process and provide 1-1 pre and post neurodivergent discovery peer support.

I am excited become of the Response team so I can learn and understand more about current mental health provision in the county and how they have adopted such a positive approach around neurodivergence.
